Since its inception, HFI has done extensive human factors work in almost
every domain and technology, such as:

Telecommunications systems are at HFI's core. Company president Eric
Schaffer worked first at AT&T Long Lines, then for four years at Bell
Labs. He did human factors design and development work on accounting systems
and advanced office technology. Eric participated in the development of
the Bell System Procedures (BSP) on Human Factors.

Since its inception, Human Factors International has done extensive human
factors work in the telecommunications industry, including GUI and Web/Intranet
standards, user interface design, usability testing, high-level interface
architectures, and usability training.
