Why Standards are Necessary

Click the maze to start

Use the arrow keys to move the mouse through the maze.

When you complete the maze, press enter to start the next level.

At each new level, the definitions of the arrow keys change. This is an example of what users are faced with when a site has inconsistent navigation.

Note: Flash6 is required.

This is the maze that Dr. Eric Schaffer refers to in HFI's May 22, 2003 Webcast: "Web Design Standards: 10 organizational secrets"
