Human Factors International sponsors events for World Usability Day 2008

On November 13th, 2008, a worldwide series of events will promote the benefits of user-centered design. The theme this year is usability in transportation. World Usability Day and the Usability Professionals' Association will launch the Global Transport Challenge on November 13th. It's an easy way for you to understand how you use transportation everyday and the impact it has on our environment.

World Usability Day at Caterpillar
HFI's Jeff Horvath speaks on "The Value of User-Centered Design" at the WUD celebration at Caterpillar corporate headquarters in Peoria, IL. The presentation will be broadcast to Caterpillar locations around the world.

World Usability Day at Chevron
Phil Goddard, HFI's Western Region VP, will present to Chevron's world-wide usability community. He will speak on the topic: "Strategic Usability: Achieving Business Goals with User Centered Design". The presentation will be broadcast to Chevron locations around the world.

HFI is involved in the planning of Chicago World Usability Day and will host a cocktail reception following an afternoon of transportation related presentations.

HFI is co-sponsoring World Usability Day in London. HFI's Scott Weiss speaks on the user experience of London Transport journey planning using the Web, mobile, and print maps, as well as bus stop posters.

Hamburg, Germany
HFI is sponsoring World Usability in Hamburg with a full day of speakers and workshops. HFI's Arno Bublitz will be holding a workshop on "Institutionalization of Usability".

Bangalore, India
HFI is co-sponsoring World Usability Day in Bangalore, India on November 29th. The conference will feature several speakers on transportation usability topics.

Shanghai, China
HFI's Dr. Jianming Dong will be chairing the World Usability Day event in Shanghai.
