Putting Research into Practice |
Putting Research into Practice provides participants with an
engaging review of foundational and
recent research with a distinct "How can I
use this?" focus. HFI';s experts provide in-depth
summaries of the current literature in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer
Science, Technology, Usability Engineering,
and Marketing. We present the practical implications of this research
and its impact on how we conduct user-centered design. Through discussion
and lively exchange, participants learn to effectively apply
exploratory research to their real-world applications.

| Participant Feedback |
"The frequency with which I leveraged info from my first PRP course
convinced me to attend another. Love the new organization of content!
Should make it much easier to reference when needed in the future. Well
worth the time – thank you!" —J.F.
"A wealth of great research data. I'm well prepared to go back to
my office and present many cases for further institutionalizing usability
and user-centered design within the organization." —M.D.
Putting Research into Practice far surpassed my expectations. Kath, a true academic
with the rare ability to communicate complicated scientific research in
layman's terms, humanized all of the presented research and helped me
apply this information to the real world. The presentation of the research
highlighted the main points and didn't get wrapped up in academic-speak.
I very much enjoyed this course and look forward to next year." —D.H. |
